Criminal Mistreatment in the First Degree

A father accused of causing physical injury to his minor children by providing alcohol to them. Even though Oregon law allows a parent to provide alcohol to their minor children, the District Attorney filed Felony charges against this father. We took the case to trial after several months of attempts to have the case dismissed. We won an acquittal at trial.

Arson in the First Degree

This client was indicted for six counts of arson in the first degree. An A felony with the maximum penalty of 20 years per count. The arson was an accident, and the jury agreed with us; finding her not guilty on all counts of arson but guilty on an A misdemeanor lesser included offense of Reckless Burning.

Jessica’s Law

This client faced 8 counts of sex offense charges involving a minor under the age of twelve. Charges included rape, unlawful sexual penetration in the first degree, sodomy in the first degree, encouraging child sexual abuse among other charges. After a three-day trial our client was acquitted of all charges. The jury found him innocent.
